👍👍 Pretty awesome hidden gem especially for fishing and swimming. The water is a bit brisk due to the elevation but the views and setting is quite amazing. The water is clean and it's never busy. It's helpful that this lake is non-motorized so it's always nice and calm.

👍👍 Beautiful lake with sandy beaches and clean widely spaced campgrounds full of trees. We were there mid week and it was very quiet. Would go back. Was a great stop on our way to Custer and allowed us to day trip into Hot Springs where we toured the Mammoth Site.

👍 Center Lake is a Serene camping area located in the black hills. I liked it because there were not very many RVs and mostly just tent campers. It's been my experience that RVs make much more noise and have a much bigger footprint than us tent campers. I enjoyed my stay and I will definitely go back.

👍 I visited this place 18 years ago. This time I brought my son, and my 67 year old mom along. The wife didn't make it 200' past the parking lot! About 8 spots available. Word of advice the 2.5 mile road is rough, so dont bring your car, unless you want too be the second person at the trail head with...

😠 The trees around the camp sites are nice but we will never go back. The boat ramp is anything but friendly and the area is infested with gnats! They also have no showers there and the fee you pay per day pass is outrageous!
