👍👍 First thing first, your cellphones don't work here, so there is zero reception. Huge parking lot with multiple overflow parking here and another huge parking lot at visitor center. Trail is amidst huge trees, so completely under shade. Trail is flat, although there are sections with steep incline. I...

👍👍 Awesome little hike! I think it's about a 1/4 mile to the tunnel from the afton side, but it's a comfortable walk to the tunnel. The tunnel is awesome! It's nice and cool in there, and such an awesome experience walking through the tunnel. Bring a head lamp or flashlight, it's pitch black in there!...

👍👍 ⚠️ this trail is for experienced hikers. Proper shoes, lightweight backpacks and good hydration are needed for this hike. It's a strenuous trail. Though it may be short it's a huge rock scramble. You have to watch your footing and be very cautious of loose rocks. If you have all of these things then...

👍👍 Beautiful loop trail that's just a little over a mile. It features three waterfalls along the way. Because I like to save the best for last, I walked the trail counterclockwise so I could see the biggest fall last. Absolutely worth it.

👍👍 I hiked up from the Pole Steeple parking lot. Not exactly sure in distance but it didn’t take me more than an hour and a half round trip. There is an option at one point to take the steep climb or the moderate climb. I did moderate and it wasn’t bad at all. Leaves can be tricky in the fall/winter be...

👍👍 We celebrated my husband's 100th Day post stem cell transplant by visiting this tunnel for the very first time. Parks and Rec had golf carts to ride. 👍👍 This is definitely my favorite of all the Monmouth County parks. Multiple entrances to the park with a variety of great trails going through the heavily wooded area. Good for walks, mountain bikes and dog friendly. If you want a nice long hike I recommend starting at the Buttermilk Valley entrance a...

👍👍 Great hike. It is a fairly short distance to the summit, but it is a very steep and relentless climb. So you need to be prepared for a workout. The view once at the top is fantastic. Bring a picnic and enjoy it for a while, plenty of space to relax and enjoy the view from the rocks along the peak.
