Hurricane Mountain Fire Tower
Scenic spot
ππ Perhaps the best view of the mountains Iβve ever had. Hurricane Mountain is not one of the high peaks but at its summit you have a great panoramic view of the high peaks and Lake Champlain. We started at the trailhead by Rt. 9 and the hike was generally moderate.

ππ Rewarding views! There are a couple of false summits so keep going. Not a tough hike. Some spots you have to climb rock or take the herd path to the side.

Continue up the trail until you can see a small visible heard path following the left side of the falls. You will shortly pop out on the slide w...

Jay Mountain Trailhead
Hiking area
ππ Possibly one of my favorite hikes in the Adirondacks. Not too difficult a trail but it's long. Only a few small scrambles on the Ridgeline. When you break the tree line it's an incredible Ridgeline hike with 360 views. If you're in shape this hike is very doable. I'd recommend it for kids as well....
