👍👍 Great views if you can stay at the cabins in skyland. Me and my family were treated like loyalty. Luray caverns also was tons of fun! Go to the car museum very interesting classic cars.

👍👍 We came here in mid-Feb, and the road was still pretty icy. For hikers who want to take the full trail, some traction aid might be necessary, and hiking poles would definitely be helpful. We parked in the Fishers Gap parking, walked down the Rose River Fire Road, and then took the Rose River Trail....

👍 Old rag is more of an annual pilgrimage than a hike for me. We get there almost every year but I always do the fire road up and back rather than the rock scramble ... Better for old people and young kids... I'll let you guess which category I fall into... Pack a lunch and enjoy it at the summit wher...
