Short Sands Trail - South Trailhead
Hiking area
ππ The short hike through the woods and along the creek was awesome, and the beach simply could not have been better. We were not looking to lay on the beach or swim - we were adventuring and having fun, if thatβs you, suggest you go at low-tide. The tide pools and rocks are teeming with sea life like...

Manzanita Beach
Beach pavillion
ππ I love this beach. There is parking along the beach access road. Several trails down. The beach was not too crowded. Great sunset. Also, great food choices along the road out.

ππ A perfect way to start the day. Moderate difficulty. About 5 miles out and back. But you can also continue up or down other connecting trails. This is what I did and it was perfectly splendid.

Neahkahnie Mountain Trail Viewpoint
Park
ππ Too gorgeous. Too stunning. Was my favorite sight of the entire trip, and that is saying a lot because each and every view we got in Oregon was amazing. The hike up gives you a taste of an Oregon forest where Bigfoot feels likely to pop out.

Elk Flats Trail
Hiking area
ππ Definitely a cool little hike. You don't have to go to far for some great views. The trailhead is free to park at and there a decent amount of parking spots. It is about 24 miles south of seaside but a nice drive there. Definitely pet and kid friendly. Go check it out.

Nehalem Bay Jetty Trail
Hiking area
ππ 2 mile hike out to the North jetty where Nehalem Bay empties into the ocean. The view from the jetty is fantastic. Hike out and back or return along the beach (highly recommended). Respect the signs protecting the Snowy Plubber nesting grounds. If you take the beach back, there is a bright 23B marke...
