State of Alabama Welcome Center
Tourist information center
ππ This is a five star welcome center. The grounds are beautiful. We loved walking underneath the gorgeous oak trees. The ladies inside the center are super friendly and informative. I wish my state had such a great place for visitors.

Tanner Williams Community Park
Park
ππ Beautiful small park with a paved circular walkway, children's playground, splash pond, benches, lots of shade, and a small baseball field. There's also plenty of parking and, despite being near a major roadway, it's nicely tucked away on a quiet side street.

ππ Very natural nature trail. Trail was cleared well and easy to traverse. Beautiful sites and pleasant walk. We had the trail to ourselves. Make sure you come prepared for mosquitoes and yellow flies and no-see-ums. Will return!

π Its not a bad park if you want to go just yourself and the kids. I rarely find anyone else there. The location is what makes me give it a three star rating. Because, to me, it just doesnt feel like a park.

π We actually stayed here for a few months a while back. It would be a MUCH nicer place if the guy that runs it wasn't a complete jackass ! Other than that, the neighbors are friendly & it's very peaceful most of time. Oh, if he asks you to pay cash.. MAKE sure he doesn't pocket the money. He has pull...
