👍 Chinese in Hawaii and how they immigrated to the US. The original cook house is now used as a theatre showing a film about the Chinese in Hawaii. History is fascinating and you can learn so much. Kamaaina special to visit 4 museums for a nominal price.

The interior of this long-standing house has been restored to an 1850s design & tours are offered.

👍👍 Free and super cool. My girlfriend and I explored while walking around Lahaina. We found the displays and history very interesting. Especially that people would be jailed for the sale of awa without a permit. The bench under the big tree was also a nice place to just sit and enjoy the weather.

👍 Worth checking out for sure especially since it's so close to Shipwreck Beach, but be aware of the weather! Too hot and that half a mile hike certainly feels like much more, or add some rain and you feel like the beach path you took there might just disappear!! Not for individuals with accessibility...
