Treme's Petit Jazz Museum
Museum
👍👍 We were so lucky to enjoy a private tour with Al and a private performance with two of his fellow performers! Learned so much about Jazz and the history of New Orleans. Would absolutely come back again. It’s people like Al that keeps the soul of the music and the history alive!

St. Peter Claver Catholic Church
Catholic church
👍👍 The St. Peter Claver church is part of a complex that covers almost a city block. Saint Peter Claver is the patron saint of slaves. The church, church offices and playground remain but I believe the school may be closed at this time. A beautiful Roman Catholic church in the Treme neighborhood.

The Singing Oak
Tourist attraction
👍👍 The melodious tree towers in the heart of City Park, just down the road from the New Orleans Museum of Art. During the summer, the oak provides a reprieve from the sultry Louisiana heat and enchanting tunes from the wind chimes strung from the branches.
The chimes are all tuned to ring out in the p...

Bloody Mary's Tours, Haunted Museum & Voodoo Shop
Tourist attraction
😐 Not scary, definitely interesting. Not to be gatekeeping, I was and still am skeptical about a white woman claiming to be a voodoo queen. I saw her on Buzzfeed Unsolved and was familiar with her and the Z&A story, but not the commercial history of her museum until a local tour. I don't know how I fe...
