👍👍 Lots of different pathways with a recent controlled burn (probably last fall) on the one side of the entrance road! Side opposite burn has heavy leaf cover to make for a comfy trail. Also has paved trails to aid accessibility and kid-friendly areas. Felt safe walking by myself around sundown.

👍👍 We had a beautiful walk on the trails and observed many wildlife signs but not the wildlife. We spent some time in the Nature Centre were they had many educational exhibits. Very interesting in deed. While we were there, a group of volunteers were planting some native wild flowers!

👍👍 Our favorite vacation spot. This beautiful small town is a wonderful get away. Lovely views, great restaurants and coffee shops and plenty of fun things to do on the water. We enjoyed easy access to lots of farmers markets, brewery’s and other sights and experiences of Northern Michigan.
