😐 Let’s not replace all of the bridges with poured concrete, please. I liked this area when it looked like a part of nature, now it’s an eyesore on the trail.

LaVerna Preserve - Hiking Area

👍👍 I found this place on Google maps, looking for something to do before going on a Hardy Boat Tour. The parking lot is small and no roadside parking is allowed. You walk about 20 minutes from the road to the entry. From there we walked about 20-25 more minutes and got to the coast. We brought picnic l...

👍👍 The semi-private Seawall Beach is, bar none, the most pristine and unspoiled I've ever had the pleasure to access in New England. It's almost a polar opposite of the sometimes overcrowded Popham beach state park nearby. An amazing experience, requiring at least half a day to make it worthwhile. The...

👍👍 Moose Alley is a favorite NH destination. Sometimes seeing a moose takes some persistence, but we are usually rewarded.

Bald Mountain Preserve
Nature preserve
👍👍 Bald rock is a nice hike. It's not to long and fairly easy going. Access is also easy to find. There is a bit of a steeper section but not bad . I managed it with snow and ice still on the ground. Once you make the hike to the top you are awarded with spectacular views of camden harbour and beyond....

😐 For a hike with two peaks each just shy of 2,000 feet, the trail was surprisingly steep in parts. Particularly from the ponds up. I wish the entrance to the trail that parallels the road was more visible. I missed it on the way up and ended up taking the dirt road to the ponds.

👍👍 The trail is lovingly kept with benches placed along bay views. The feel of the path is magical as I expected to catch a glimpse of fairies or elves around each mossy bend.

Summer Star Wildlife Sanctuary

👍👍 A pleasant 1.4 mile trail leaves and returns from the Summer Star Sanctuary which is worth a visit especially when the visitors center is open. Pigeon Hill Preserve Trailhead
Nature preserve
👍👍 An amazingly short yet rewarding hike. Multiple levels of difficulty and all the blazes are well marked. The blue trail which we did has some steep parts, as well as rocky terrain and hiking over trees. Really well done job and at the top you have an amazing view of the entire bay. No one is rar...

Sebago to the Sea Trailhead
Nature preserve
👍 About a mile walk from either the Chadbourne trail head or the end of Pond road where there’s limited parking. The payoff is a Beautiful Sandy Beach on Sebago Lake. Depending on your starting point the walk brings you buy a revolutionary war soldier’s grave with his wife and the Smith family cemet...
