Pinnacle Mountain East Summit Trailhead
Hiking area
πŸ‘πŸ‘ Wow, what a hike! Be warned, this trail is steep and challenging. You'll be scrambling over rocks for hundreds of feet up. There's some nice spots to rest with a view. As an experienced hiker, this caught me off guard. I was on all fours for half this hike to get up and over the wall of boulders.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Went to Fort Leonard Wood for my daughter's Army Basic training graduation. They held the ceremony at Gammon Field, which was easy to get to. Parking was down the street at Baker theater, on the street around the field, and in front of the bleachers. Arriving 2 hours prior is key, so plan ahead,...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Update: returned with my wife and son. This time we brought flashlights to see how deep the cave goes. Even my 600b lumen flashlight want bright enough to see the end. It was a beautiful day and rock formations and water-carved sandstone looked amazing. Don't forget to skip a few rocks along the cre...
