Harvey Manning Trailhead
Hiking area
ππ A great trailhead with a small parking lot (~25 cars), a map of the park trails, and a couple of options (benches and tables) to sit down and have lunch/picnic. Will be back to explore the area more!

Issaquah Highlands Lake Loop
Hiking area
ππ If you live in the Highlands and are practicing cross-country, track or just to be fit. This is the best place to run. Each loop around the pond is 1/3 of a mile so that makes it easy to track your distance. After you run around the pond enough you can go to the side to run hill sprints. Overall a...

The Rainier Trail
Hiking area
ππ This is rated at a difficulty level of hard, so its not for beginners. The view is amazing as you see Seattle and Bellevue from the top. At about 7 miles round trip from the right parking lot it is highly suggested to have hiking shoes/boots, plenty of water and maybe even hiking poles. This trail h...

Red Town Trailhead
Hiking area
ππ Beautiful trail. Iβd give it a 1/5 in terms of difficulty. There are a few different trails which are all interconnected. Would recommend to go on a few different ones as each one is unique. The trail can get a little muddy if youβre going after rain. There are a couple of waterfalls in this network...

Weowna Park Trail
Hiking area
π This is a well maintained and varied hiking area that's welcoming for beginners. There are only a couple routes, and what's here isn't quite as stunning as what you'll find if you head out into the mountains, but it's well worth visiting at least once and is perfect for walking your dogs.

Cable Line Trailhead
Hiking area
π This is one of the challenging hikes with nearly 2000 ft gain in just ~2 miles. Itβs straight up to the mountain, highly elevated. Whole trail is rough (except 1/4 mile straight path) with lot of spots quiet slippery. I wouldnβt recommend without hiking sticks and shoe with good grip. Should be extr...

East Sunset Way Trailhead
Hiking area
π Gravel parking lot with some sizeable potholes and huge, deep mud puddles. Room for roughly 20 cars, wasn't crowded on a weekday morning. No bathroom. The moderately steep climb from the parking lot through the woods to the actual power line trail is more interesting than the power line trail itself...

Evans Creek Preserve - Upper Parking Lot
Hiking area
ππ Trails are VERY well marked and maintained. The forest and plantlife are beautiful, and there are plenty of bridges over the creek. Good places to stop and eat and rest halfway through, complete with picnic tables. Very long climb on the way back up though!
