Worst rated Electric vehicle charging stations in Santa Maria, United States

😠 A nice dual station. But be warned: these are operated by the city of El Segundo primarily for city employees (who charge using a city account) that aren't bothered by the $1.00 per kWh charge.

😠 This morning not one station was working on the phone in customer service they told me that 4 stations were working, but in fact only one was working.

😠 Charger is broken as of June 2021. There’s a sad old sign posted that it was melting some cars’ ports, I couldn’t even get it to start charging my Leaf (probably a good thing).

😠 I have a car with a chademo plug, the outside two chargers are unable to initiate charging, the assistance number on the screen directs you to the incorrect company. The inner two chargers have a Tesla adapter permanently attached to the chademo plug, rendering those chargers useless for my car.

👍 Chargers are located on the 3rd floor!! Definitely there and active! Fast as well. Only giving 4 stars because you have to pay for parking.

😠 Updated review: looks like the equipment at this location has trouble keeping up with increasing demand. One of the three chargers is down, the other maxes out at 30 kW and the third one is not much better. What should be a quick stop takes forever. Avoid.

😠 Chargers are frequently out of service. Very busy station in a busier parking lot. Beware of yogis and shoppers parking their gas cars here. Good luck finding a place to wait for your turn to charge. Watch out for new EV drivers who might stop your charge because they think two cars can plug into 1...

😠 Sat in line to charge for an hour and a half. And these companies wonder why they struggle with the electric vehicle buy. Electrify chargers usually aren’t working or they aren’t putting out the speed they are supposed. Sat at a 350kw getting 86kw. But it’s just ridiculous that it took me 2 hours...
