Knights Ferry Recreation Area
Park
π I didn't go to the recreation portion of the park. I stopped to see the history of the area. I read the bridge is the longest covered bridge west of the Mississippi. There is also an old mill, which was pretty awesome. From what I could tell, it didn't seem busy. Cool place.

STANISLAUS RIVER PARKS
Park
ππ It was a nice day for a hike. Stayed on the left side of the river until the end of the path. Not too crowded, passed a handful a people on the way. During summertime it's perfect for swimming, there's even some spots to go cliff jumping. Great day hike.

Knights Ferry Covered Bridge
Bridge
π Weβve lived in the Central Valley and driven by knights ferry countless times. We finally decided to visit today. It was beautiful. Iβd call this a hidden gem in the valley. The bridge and old town site were very interesting. The rocks and river were beautiful and there was ample area for exploring...

Frank Raines Regional Park
Park
π Pretty place would not recommend to someone who only wants to go to the park. The park is really small. But i would definitely recommend just for the drive and the view. It was so beautiful I enjoyed the ride the whole way there. I stop on the side of the road a few times just to take in the view an...

Vista Point
State park
π«€ VISTA POINT is only good for scenic views and occasional sunset photography. As I started taking astrophotos once, I became aware of a different and darker side to this respite. This parking lot on the high hill overlooking the freeway appears to be a "cruise" for m on m. So just be wary after dark...

Valley Oak Recreation Area Main Entrance

π Good spot to take the dogs for a walk by the river. Usually uncrowded. Be careful river is fast and deep here. Not great for swimming. Also watch out for the railroad ties by the river I slipped on one and fell pretty hard. I probably have not fell walking in 20 years. My 2 dogs didn't help they suc...

Woodward Reservoir
Lake
π Go during the weekday and the lake is pretty much all yours. Great for kayaking, wake boarding, or tubing. Don't expect resort clear water or golf green grass. It's a location that gives a "down to earth" feel that keeps everyone comfortable. If you're boujie, this place is not for you. But I love t...

Laird Regional Park
Park
π Very peaceful until you run into the homeless parked in the good fishing spots. Water is very low but there was surprisingly less trash in the floor. We still found peace and happiness through it all. With Jesus everything becomes joyful
