👍👍 Right off of 80. I stop here every time to get some cool photos. You can walk down a bit to get some privacy but the best view is right at the parking area.

Tranquil lake for fishing, hiking & recreation in the area where the ill-fated Donner Party stayed.

Simple facility with interpretive exhibits & artifacts related to the 19th-century Donner Party.

10-acre recreational park featuring a sandy beach area, sports courts, boat rentals & a snack bar.

Shopping, dining & cultural-arts district offering a historical walking tour & scenic views.

Charming riverside park featuring a children's playground, hiking paths & a disc-golf course.

😐 Limited parking right off the road. Seen people attempting to use the restroom here but they are still locked. Check when these are to be open if you plan on visiting here. Currently not busy and lake water is still near freezing. Give it another month or two if you wanna enjoy a swim. On that note...

👍 Glacier Way Trail is a nice trail that you can hike or bike. It is a mixture of fire roads and single track and offers great views of the surrounding mountains, canyons, and even Donner Lake.
