Regatta Playground
Playground
ππ This was the original playground for kids which we didn't see before such a rock climbing in drums for instruments for kids to play in bang around. There are also many swings and the view of the Lake and woods was a very nice touch. There were also many picnic areas with many picnic tables. Social d...

Eagle Rock Observation Deck
Observation deck
π Absolutely breathtaking views of New York especially at night. An awesome weekend activity for you and your friends. Fair warning, do not come here alone. Be aware of your surroundings, I have seen on several occasions, people doing shady things. Be safe here, bring a buddy.

Essex County Park
Park
π Not sure why people get confused with Regatta Playground, this is a review of the park (it's a gated park) and the playground is a part of it.
We were in the area for some work and had an hour in hand, I googled park near me and found this. what a great find it is! it was a cloudy day. not a very...

Thomas Edison Home
Historical place museum
ππ Huge house with very unique architecture. I assumed Edison built it, but he actually purchased it. You have to ask for a pass while at the lab to see the house and then drive over, since it is in a gated community. Think about how cool it would be to be Edison's neighbor.

JCC MetroWest
Community center
π DO NOT ENROLL kids for swimming on the Marlins MetroWest swim team. The head coach Cynthia McConnell is extremely rude and yells at kids. If anyone happens to ask any questions she just starts yelling at people. We had a major incident today at a swim meet where we had registered for participation b...

Turtle Back Rock Picnic Area
Park
ππ I enjoyed myself because I expected it to be hot and humid being in the 90Β°+ . The wildlife was a pleasure and plenty trees to keep the sun out. Good location for a private party

Eagle Rock Reservation Trail Parking
Park
π The trails are okay for walking, but they are not well marked. The good news is you are never far from a street so as long as your phone is charged you should be able to use Google maps to get back to your car. Also in the fall, too many leaves and mud so please wear proper shoes.

Degnan Park
Park
π Local park, pretty well maintained, though the sidewalks desperately need to be repaired. Right next to West Orange high school, makes it convenient with ample parking. Small recreation center attached that can be rented for events and parties.

Treetop Adventure Course
Adventure sports center
π Went with my kids to the Treetop Adventure park and really enjoyed it. The admission was very reasonable and I think its a great park considering the drive/location. We did the adults course. The obstacles and stations were challenging enough and interesting for all ages. Extra kodus to the staff fo...

Francis A. Byrne Golf Course
Golf course
ππ Hidden gem of a course with Golden Age design. There are a lot of strategic shots without being too demanding or penalizing. The elevation changes makes the course a challenge to walk but a joy to play. There are many great views as you progress through your round!

Stagg Field Playground
Park
π Solid park & playground to let the kids get some fresh air and run around. The fenced in parts of the playground fence won't actually keep the kids in as there are some gaps or open gate but enough to slow them down as you see them. Also huge playing fields, basketball court and tennis courts there...
