Claerwen Dam Viewpoint
Scenic spot
👍👍 Very scenic and beautiful place. First time there, parked up at the visitor centre £3 for the whole day to park (this is anywhere on the estate). The Dams are interesting for the way they were constructed, also the history. We walked to the first 2 Dams then walked back to the car and drove to the r...

Corn Du
National park
👍👍 Stunning views. I recommend to climb all three mountains: Corn du, Cribyn and Pen y fan. Also you can choose circular walk which is around 10 miles (took us 6 hours). It is tiring but views are incredible.

👍👍 From my point of view Wales is a God's (Nature) own Country. It has some stunning views. I have been to Wales for 3-4 times and trust me its never disappoints me. A couple of days ago I visited Pen-y-Fan and it was just amazing and I didn't have words to describe it. One of the Best Places for Hikin...

👍👍 Pen Y Big / Pen Y Fan / Pen Y Scran - in that order 🤌🏼 Waltzed around the horseshoe trail from the Taf Fechan Forest car park (c. 11 miles), taking just over 3 hours. Completely drained and dreading the drive back through Merthyr for some scran until I remembered I went past the tea room 1000m be...

Rhiwagor Waterfall
Tourist attraction
👍👍 Good parking. The walk to the foot of the falls is gently undulating and mostly firm underfoot. Then if you want to climb up beside the falls, be aware that there isn't a path as such, only a series of tracks between and over rocks where you need to negotiate exposed tree roots etc. I only went abou...

👍👍 Absolutely brilliant - full disclosure, went on this with a group who were, frankly, not actually that stoked about the prospect of jumping into a river. 10 mins in though, and they were having the time of their lives. Matt, our guide, was super professional, great company, and made sure we had an...

👍👍 Free car park with a huge waterfall as you drive in (visited during rainy April!). Walk UPWARDS for views of the valley, more waterfalls, and a quaint stream. Walk DOWNWARDS for thick forest with more waterfalls at the bottom on a very steep hill. Would be good for anyone who is injured/disabled an...

Maen Llia
Historical landmark
👍👍 The oldest (4000 years old!) and the biggest standing stone in Wales. 3.7m tall - massive 🤩 I felt so small standing on its side! The display sign was moulded in the shape of the stone itself and talks about the Bronze Age. Great history lesson for all ages! 🪨 The access to the stone is easy (ar...
