Schooner Head Overlook
Scenic spot
πŸ‘πŸ‘ Nice overlook, but I came here to visit the Anemone cave. Its a little dangerous to visit with the tide coming in, but none the less a cool spot to see that is not really documented as an attraction in the park anymore.

Gorham Mountain Trailhead
Hiking area
πŸ‘πŸ‘ Definitely one of the most fun trails I have been on. This trail isn’t easy but it’s definitely manageable. We took a few breaks when needed and made it up within 30 minutes. There were a few other peoples there who had their children with them and they made it up just fine. There are lots of differ...

Atlantic Climbing School
Rock climbing instructor
πŸ‘πŸ‘ We were extremely impressed and pleased with Atlantic Climbing School in Bar Harbor. Reed, our instructor, was particularly great with our three children who had no outdoor climbing experience. He was an excellent communicator, a great teacher and also very patient. You could tell that he took his w...

Old Farm
Historical place
πŸ‘πŸ‘ Short, easy hike in forest area and down to a rock and pebble beach. During high tide there's a thin strip on beach but during low tide there are more rocks to climb on. The water is very clear and you can see a lot in the rock pools. A great first hike for young kids or with dogs.

Acadian Boat Tours
Boat tour agency
πŸ‘πŸ‘ Great tour! Staff was friendly and highly knowledgeable. Learned a lot about the different islands and lighthouses along the tour. A Bald Eagle flew right over our heads as we waited to board the boat. Saw many birds, including Puffins and Terns, and seals at Egg Rock Lighthouse. Brief shower...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ This is a wonderful museum! It may be small but they have put a lot of work into the exhibits! Our kids age 11,10,9,8 and 8 months loved it! They enjoyed seeing the animals and the skeletons! The adults in our group especially enjoyed learning new facts about the animals in this region! We would abs...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ So much to say about this place, sweeping views, so many wild blueberries! Beautiful flora and fauna and the coastline! It feels like you’re in a dream with how beautiful it is. St. Saviour's Episcopal Church
Episcopal church
πŸ‘πŸ‘ It seems silly to "review" a church: Just wanted to post to let folks know the stained glass windows here are worth a visit, some made by Louis Comfort Tiffany. When you enter via the red door, to your left is a small table with pamphlets that describe each of the windows, so you can make your own t...
