👍👍 Really enjoyable trail with a bunch of branching side trails. The Al Foster Trail itself reminds me of a mini Katy Trail (shorter and narrower). It runs parallel to the river and has nice views.

👍👍 Hidden gem in Forest Park. Trails are rarely crowded, and the ecological restoration has produced wonderful results. The wooded areas are full of native wildflowers in spring, and the savanna areas are full of native flowers in summer. Urban oasis of wildlife.

👍 Trail looks like it gets overgrown pretty quickly in the summer. I did watch two ants carry a spider carcus for a good 5 minutes so that was pretty cool. Heard a lot of birds and geese in the pond. Will come back in the fall to check it out.
