👍👍 Great beach!! It's like a pool, with rock floor into the ocean. Very shallow and clear water near the shore - fun to sit among the fish and enjoy. The sunbeds are mostly for hotel guests but you can always bring a towel and sit there. There's a wooden walkway every few meters up to the very water.

👍👍 Great small beach close to heraklion city. The only disadvantage is that due to its orientation the sun cannot reach it after 4-5. Liked the directions on how to get back on our way to heraklion safely, since the parking lot is at the side of the highway and turnarounds are obviously not allowed.

👍 Quiet beach (weekday mid-October, so only 10 people); secluded down a dirt track. Came to snorkel - about a dozen species of fish, mostly sand and plant-covered rocks. Did manage to spot an octopus at the far northern end though!
